St. Philip's is an Anglican church with a long history of serving God's mission through community service in NDG and Montreal West, as well as in the city's downtown core. Our parishioners come from communities both near and far. Our diverse and welcoming parish family seeks to know, love, and follow Jesus and you are cordially invited to join us.

We are increasingly providing a spiritual home for young families and starting in the Fall of 2014 we revived our Sunday school program.

Feel free to get to know more about us by clicking the tabs above or better yet come and visit us.

Services

Our services are held on Tuesday Evening at 7:30 PM and on
Sunday Morning at 8:00 AM. Our choir is a central part of our worship at the 10:00 AM Sunday service. Services are based on
traditional liturgies from the Book of Alternative Services and the Sunday
Service at 10:00 is fully choral.

Who we are

As is the case with a number of Anglican Dioceses throughout Canada and, in fact, with a number of other Christian communities, the Diocese of Montreal and St. Philip's church in particular is in the midst of a period of redevelopment and renewal.

We have a culturally diverse congregation consisting of two principal groups: Those of a mainly Anglophone background who live primarily in Montreal West and N.D.G., and members of the West Indian communities – Antigua, Barbados, Jamaica, etc.
We have worshipers who travel from the Montreal suburbs and off-island
communities; however, the majority of our members come from the greater
Montreal area.

The present majority of worshipers are middle-aged or elderly, but recently we have been attracting younger families, including members who grew up in the parish and have moved back into the area.

English is the operational language in our church but French speakers are welcome at our services and special ceremonies.
